Christmas Compassion Appeal 2025

We love Christmas at Redeemer! Christmas, in the Christian calendar, marks the birth of Jesus - God wrapped up in flesh and blood, the greatest gift of hope and love to our world. As we retell and celebrate the story, we also imitate God’s example. Through acts of giving and being present with family and friends we demonstrate generosity and love.

In the last few years families connected with Anaka Women’s Collective and Farmbox have gone on a short break during summer to the north coast at Corrymeela. This has proved a rich and valuable time, and the families have talked fondly of how much it meant to them. For some families this has been the only opportunity for them to leave the city of Belfast and explore another part of the countryside.

This year we are making plans for a residential in Summer 2026 for folks who are involved in our Compassion projects. We also are planning days out from Belfast exploring local places and events so we want to have a pot to make this possible. The first trip is a train ride and visit to Castle Gardens in Lisburn during the festive period to see the Christmas Lights and have some food together.

This Christmas we invite you to get involved in a practical way by donating money to the pot that will provide for these opportunities between now and next summer.

Instead of buying some of your family members something that they don’t need or perhaps don’t want why not consider giving one of our vouchers and let them sow into something beautiful for someone who is trying to make their home here having often been on a tough journey to get here.
