Role summary
The Caretaker is responsible for the stewardship, cleanliness, safety, and presentation of Redeemer Central's premises at 101 Donegall St. Working approximately 6–8 hours per week, the postholder will ensure the building is maintained to a high standard, remains safe and compliant for staff, volunteers, visitors, and venue users, and is prepared for church activities and external hires.
The role combines cleaning, basic facilities management, health and safety monitoring, stock control, and minor maintenance tasks. The Caretaker will undertake routine building checks, maintain records of fire alarm and emergency lighting tests, coordinate replenishment of essential supplies, and provide practical support for venue hire activities, including opening and securing the building.
This role plays an important part in the effective stewardship of church resources, helping to create a welcoming, safe, and well-maintained environment that supports the mission and ministry of Redeemer Central.
