Run for Refuge

We are running the Mourne Way Marathon & cycling The North Down Coastal Challenge to raise money and support families, who are seeking asylum, with a life-enriching retreat at Corrymeela’s Ballycastle Centre in August 2024.

Farmbox

Farmbox is a community learning to grow fresh food to share and eat together. It exists to share fresh fruit and vegetables to those living in poverty.

Grow

We partner with Origin - a community farm providing a space to learn about sustainability and growing fresh food.

Farmbox has its very own poly-tunnel to help us reduce the cost of purchasing fresh fruit and vegetables. This also provides a space for our community to participate in the growing of their own food.

Share

We deliver fresh fruit and vegetables every fortnight to families and individuals across Belfast.

We all know the benefits to our physical and mental health regularly eating fresh fruit and vegetables. However, fresh produce is often expensive. Therefore, providing free fresh fruit and vegetables to families on a limited budget helps to reduce financial stressors.

Eat

Throughout the year we have a number of community days where we meet to share life and have a meal together.

Farmbox Intro is an evening of connection and conversation for people interested in finding more about farmbox and how you can get involved. We will meet over some drinks and supper and you'll have an opportunity to hear our story, find out what we're all about and meet some of our team.

Farmbox is led by Ian & Libby Ryans and a brilliant team of volunteers. To reach the team, email farmbox@redeemercentral.com or click the button
