The season of advent is marked by generosity, as we remember the gift of Jesus - God wrapped up in flesh and blood, the greatest gift of hope and love to our world. We look beyond ourselves and supported those in need in our city our and beyond. Through The Long Table we welcomed people from across the community at 101 for a Christmas meal together. We raised £1.7k for Toy Tales - blessing families locally with vouchers to purchase new toys for their children. At our carols by candlelight gathering we raised £1k to support the work of Euro Relief in Lesvos. We also donated £500 from our Justice Fund to this cause.
We continue to build relationships with partners to help us continue our calling as a community practicing the way of Jesus and working for the peace and common good of our city and world. We received a generous £ 20k donation from the Ardbarron Trust to support our work as a church community. We are hugely humbled and thankful for this gift.
