Day 8 - Cleaning products: Reduce Plastic and Harmful Chemicals

If you’re like most of us, the thought of making your own cleaning products is a step too far. But there is a way to go eco in this area without spilling baking soda everywhere. You can buy dissolvable sachets or tablets, and put them in your own bottles with some water. The ukbased shop “ecovibe” has everything you need. There are also lots of options when it comes to laundry – the laundry egg or strips for example – and hygiene (plastic-free toilet paper for example or reusable feminine products) where you can cut down on plastic-waste.

Dear God,

Help us to be mindful of the cleaning products we buy and the impact they can have on the environment. Grant us the courage to make changes where we can, grace when we cannot, and wisdom to know the difference.
